When Microsoft Australia needed to launch PetAI – a world-first AI-powered pet concierge built on Azure for Petbarn – they came to Weld to concept, cast and create the content.
The challenge was real: Australians are among the most AI-sceptical consumers in the world, so the storytelling had to lead with emotion, not technology. Weld's answer was a studio shoot featuring the very Microsoft employees who had helped build PetAI, and Petbarn employees, with their own pets, answering the question every pet owner has wondered: what would you ask your animal if they could answer back?
The content launched to a 5,000-person audience at Microsoft's Global AI Tour and rolled out across Microsoft and Petbarn platforms. And we got to spend the day with several very good dogs and one exotic shorthair Persian named Molly, who may or may not have had a sixth sense.
